Sunrise Hotel is heavily involved in helping the poor and disadvantaged in the local community, especially the children and those suffering from mental illness. The hotel's management and staff provide scholarships to the children of poor families, as well as books and stationery every year, helping these children in their educational opportunities, and helping their lives in general.
The hotel also provides free meals for the patients in Nha Trang mental hospital. To do this, they have built a kitchen for the hospital, and provide both money and willing volunteers to prepare meals for the patients, most of whom suffer hardships and have come from poor families.
